Şevkican Seferoğlu received his B.Sc. degree in Geological Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2015.

He began his professional career in 2016 as a geological engineer at Pomza Export Inc. and later joined Demir Export Inc., where he held several roles including exploration geologist, specialist exploration geologist, senior exploration geologist, and structural geology & modeling superintendent. As of 2025, he serves as Senior Geology Consultant at Gaia Jeolog.

Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in numerous mineral exploration projects both in Türkiye and internationally, primarily focusing on porphyry, skarn, orogenic, and high-sulfidation epithermal deposit systems. His responsibilities have included planning and execution of drilling programs, geological mapping, geochemical data evaluation, core logging, geological modeling, and technical data interpretation. He has also contributed to the reporting of exploration projects in compliance with international reporting standards such as JORC and NI 43-101, as well as technical evaluation and due diligence studies for mineral projects aimed at expanding company exploration portfolios.

Şevkican Seferoğlu has presented papers at national and international workshops and has participated in several professional training programs and seminars related to economic geology, geochemistry, alteration systems, and mineral exploration. He is a member of Chamber of Geological Engineers of Türkiye (TMMOB JMO) and Turkish Association of Economic Geologists (MJD).
